Afternoon Tea at Majapahit Hotel, Surabaya

Last June 28, one of my Japanese friends (who is now living and working in Jakarta) kindly visited me in this city of heroes, Surabaya. After going around the city, I brought her to the only place I know here serving afternoon tea (after googling), Majapahit Hotel. There is no need for reservation, except if you're coming in large number of people.
Majapahit Hotel is a historic and luxury hotel in Surabaya, opened since 1911 and bear the witness of history where Indonesians battle for revolution in 1945.

Here are some shots I took at the hotel. The garden is so pretty and well-tended, very calming in the eyes.

After walking around the complex, we sat down at the lounge and got the menu for afternoon tea. It is available from 2 to 6 PM, priced at IDR 95,000 per set.

View from the lounge we sat

We ordered one "Tanjung Perak Set" for both of us to share.
Each set includes tea (or coffee) for one person and some cookies.

It took some time for the set to arrive, despite there was no other guest beside us. But finally, here is the "Tanjung Perak Set", with fruit tartlets, samosa, and grilled salmon sandwich.
The taste? Yum! We should have ordered one set for each person ;)

Afterward, we also took some photos inside the hotel.
The hotel lobby

Very nice and affordable hotel bakery, Deli

Vintage toilet~

I was curious to see how the rooms look like, but unfortunately we couldn't sneak a peek, hehe..
Anyway, we had a great time having quiet afternoon tea at Majapahit Hotel. Thank you and 'till next time!
